סוגים וסוגים של סרטי הגנה מנירוסטה

1. סרט מגן עשוי מפוליאתילן לבן (פ)

שכבת דבק גומי ופוליאתילן (פ), is the most suitable סרט מגן for most applications. סרט זה מוחל באופן אוטומטי כדי להגן על פני השטח אם הוא לא צוין במפורש.

לחומר הפלסטי היריעה יש עובי נומינלי של 80 מיקרומטר. It is typically white with two blue stripes across its width. The stripes are of no significance.

The adhesive could be either clear, or black. Clear adhesive is white on the film.

To prevent adhesive transfer, clear adhesive film should not be left exposed to sunlight for more then a few hours. This will cause the adhesive to break down, leaving residue on the stainless surfaces when it is taken off. Because they absorb heat, film with a dark adhesive should stay stable in sunlight for a few more months.

Because it doesn't produce toxic or corrosive substances when burned, the protected surface may be laser or plasma cut. Laser cutting should be done on the side without the plastic. If you are using oxygen to aid, then cut from this side.

2. Protective Film made from light blue polyvinyl chloride.

This film is great for deep-drawing, especially multistage deep drawing. It is a polyvinylchloride (PVC) film with a rubber adhesive.

The film is nominally 70 עובי מיקרומטר. It's light blue in colour.

The film should only be used between 15°C and 40°C.

To avoid adhesive breakdown, the film should not be left out in the sun for more then a few minutes. This can interfere with deep drawing and leave residue on the stainless surface when it is removed.

You should not plasma- or laser-cut steel with the film still in place. This will result in fumes containing hydrogen chloric acid, which are toxic and destructive.

The steel should be pressed to remove the film.

3. Protective Film Black Polyvinyl Chloride

This stainless-steel protection film is ideal for heavy roll-forming applications and other applications that need heavy surface protection. It is a film made of polyvinylchloride (PVC), with an acrylic adhesive and high adhesion.

The film is nominally 120 עובי מיקרומטר. It is also black in colour.

The film should only be used between 15°C and 40°C.

The film is weatherproof and can be exposed to sunlight for several months, while providing protection.

You should not plasma- or laser-cut steel with the film still in place. This will result in fumes containing hydrogen chloric acid, which can be toxic and corrosive.

4. Protective films to be used for Laser Cutting

Special films are required to cut CO2 and fibre optic lasers. The main requirements for these films are appropriate laser absorption, resistance to cutting gases pressures, and a good quality film.

5. Protective Films

Some suppliers may also use white PVC-films for general surface protection. This is less common than expected, since PVC films can be significantly more costly than PE films.

6. Stripping The Protective Foil & Cleaning The Stainless Surface

The stainless steel protective film may be left on its own for too long. It can be very difficult to remove, and it may leave a gummy or fibrous residue of degraded adhesive.

The residue is not easily visible, making it difficult to achieve smooth surfaces.

Even if the stainless-steel protection film is removed immediately, it's possible to leave small amounts of this residue, though they might not be easily visible. It is best to clean the area after stripping the film.

The adhesive residue can then be removed by using a solvent such methyl ethylketone, eucalyptus oils or another similar solvent.

It is best to use elbow grease and wipe the solvent off the surface. The goal is to dissolve adhesive into the solvent. After that, wipe off the solution. Therefore, the solvent must not evaporate too quickly. You should also consider the flashpoint of the solvent and its toxicity.
